Dear Sir,
I am facing a problem regarding one of documents required for Group C joining. I have a Character Certificate which is issued by my College and it needs to be attested by a 1st Class Executive Magistrate/Sub Divisional Magistrate/SDO. But the problem arises when i went to the Sdo office in Howrah,WB. They told me as my college is situated in Kolkata, they can not attest the certificate from their end and told me to contact Kolkata Collector's office regarding this. When I went there in Alipore,Kolkata they told me that they can not attest in either as I am a resident of howrah district. I have tried to contact some people who work in courts if they can somehow manage to attest it by a 1st class Executive Magistrate. But till now there is no luck. Please suggest my future course of action and where can i get this certificate attested by a 1st Class Executive Magistrate in Kolkata.Any help or opinion will be highly appreciated.
