dear sir, i am applying for the group d posts under nrf rrb, but the job profiles are not mentioned in the notice. So can you please tell me what are job profiles likely to be given and also whether a group d employee can get promotion through departmental exam or not? Kindly help me out.

Job profile of Group D depends on the Railway department allotted. It can be cleaning, gatekeeper, coupling/uncoupling of wagons, track maintenance etc. If you have qualification you can write departmental exams for higher posts.

I successfully completed my Written test & PET for the Group D post (EN 05/2010 ) – RRC Chennai. After that I didn’t get any details about certificate verification & medical test date. When I put my roll number and DOB I am getting the reply as "Not Called". A number of other people got the date and all.

The process of Document verification will be finished on 4 - 2 - 2013. Till now I didn't get any information regarding this.

I dialled the RRC Chennai Office using the given number in the website. But no one pick the phone.

Now what will I do? Is there any chance for me to call for further process?

Plz help me sir.

IN YOUR OPENION ANY POSSIBILITY TO GET JOB???

Sir,

I am pretty much new to this forums... but roughly going through this forums I am happy to learn that railway employees maintain such a good forum and patiently address the issues of even non-railway staffs...

1 I just need to enquire when will the next notification for recruitment for group D posts start in SWR or SR?

2 I am SSLC(Matric/10th) with only 40.96% and 24 years of age....will I atleast receive a call for written test if I apply? I know it's low percentage** because I didn't study properly back then but I am confident that I can perform well in the written tests & PET. I have real interest in joining the Indian railways.

Please clarify whether all candidates who apply are allowed to take up the written test or only those candidates with good percentages in their educational certificates are called up for written test.

3 Are there any railway specific courses for people with Matric. If so what are the chances of getting a Job with such a certificate?

4 I am currently pursuing B.Com in open university(Final year) are these degrees valid for any railway jobs? **The university is DEC & UGC recognized.  Note: I haven't done 10+2...

I contacted the local RRB in cantonment, Bangalore in person but they didn't entertain any enquires so I hope some one can help me out.in here

Thanks
