The selection is based on a written examination and a viva-voce test and Record of Service for the preceding 5 years of date of viva-voce.

- Those who qualify in the wriiten test will have to undergo Medical Examination.
- Those who are declared FIT in Medical will be called for Viva.
- After viva-voce the names will be arranged in the order of merit on the basis of aggregate marks obtained.

Thank u very much sir, for ur great work of giving knowledge about railways rules to us and ur trying to do it continue............. sir i am guard in central railway and desire to be AOM by LDCE. i have already read ur valueable forum regarding eligibility, selection procedure, paper pattern and syllabus for AOM. but sir i just request u to pls. suggest me any book or material where i can get the study material (syllbus in brief explaination i.e que. & answer) and pls. give me some tips to prepare for LDCE.
