Recruitment to Group C Services
Recruitment to Group C Services(By RBBs)
- Made through Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB).
- Panel formed by RRB after selection is forwarded to the Zonal Railway concerned.
- The panel is valid for a year which can be extended by CPO.
- Candidates have to pass the prescribed medical examination.
- All appointments are made on probation for two year. For trainees/apprentices appointed to a working post after conclusion of their prescribed training, probation period commences on date of such appointment. (Ref 1)
- It is obligatory for all trainees to pass a simple test in Hindi.
Recruitment to Group C Services (Selection)
- Staff having 3 years of service can appear for selection test.
- Successful candidates shall be placed in the order of merit except those who have obtained more than 80% of marks(classified as Outstanding).

sir, maine mutual transfer k liye april 2012 mein apply kiya tha par mera mutual party ab koi intrest nahi dikha raha hai aur mere sab document mere railway head quarter se uske head quarter me pahuch gaye hai, ab mujhe aur ek mutual party mila hai to mujhe ye janna tha ki mera pahila mutual cancelled ho sakta hai ya nahi, agar hoga to uska procedure kya hoga ? Reply me with details.

There is a Railway Board
There is a Railway Board order saying that once mutual transfer is ordered backtracking of either party is not permitted. But there are no instructions on your situation.
You can try to cancel your application expalining the circumstances.

"The currency of the panels should be normally one year. In exceptional circumstances it can be extended by one year with the personal approval of the Chief Personnel Officer.
So it is upto CPO to decide whether to extend Panel or not.

I have qualified in SR.clerk cum typist through RRB Ranchi . my medical is left. I have also got appointment letter from ITAT Mumbai for the post of LDC. I have to join by 5/11/2012. I want to know that how much time should be taken by railway to finally joining.
Is any chance to rejection in medical test in railway.?

Railway appointment can take
Railway appointment can take much time. So it is better that you join for the other job. After you can decide whether to join Railway. Medical for clerk is not that tough.

I was a serving employee of howrah division,after selected as JE/ELECT, I have completed training. in time merit list my name is at no 2,and I m a SC candidate selected in UR vacancy. but I was posted now in Asansol div,although merit no 1&3 got posting at HWH divn.initially while sending for training we are allotted against divisional vacancy of HWH divn.so our stipend were debited from Hwh divn.if they ask for a option for posting I would definitely get HWH Divn.Also as per merit I should get posting in HWH Division.what to do against this illegal posting procedure. plz suggest me.also reply me my post is JE/ELECT in diesel shed/ Mech dept. whether mutual transfer with JE/ELECT/ELECT DEPT. is possible?or with JE/DSL/MECH or with JE/C&W/MECH DEPT.?

Regarding the transfer queries there are no specific rules to. So it is upto the concened officers to decide whether it is to be permitted.

I was one of the examinees for the exam. Under Centralized Employment Notification No.- 09/2010 for the post of Technician Gr. III Turner , Cat. No – 46, (RRB KOLKATA) which took place on 30/01/2011. This is also inform you that I qualified successfully in the above mentioned Examination and carried out all the procedures conducted and prescribed by RRB KOLKATA on 02/11/2011.
Though I have received a conformation Letter from the RRB KOLKATA, where it has been mentioned that the offer of appointment will be sent by G.M.(P), Eastern Railway , Kolkata. But till then ten months have gone by no appointment letter has been sent by the above mentioned office

the full process takes atleast a year or one and a half years. if you got selected, wait is the keyword. be happy that you will be working in the prestigious railways. when you have enquiries it is better to go to the Regional office to clarify. initially you can get clarifications from RRB. once empanelled, the Zonal offices will call as per the vacancies i think. so talk to the zonal railway offices. all the best

I was promoted as Sr TNC grade 4000-100-6000(rsrp) on 1st july 2007. After this promotion my fixation of 6th CPC was done. By seeing that fixation i was bit confused because during sept 2009 my basic pay was 4200 in grade 4000-6000 after fixation my basic was 9410 in gp 2400.
so please clearify my doubts.

I had appeared RRB exam for JE (Works) under ST category which had 3 posts reserved in NF Railway on 09/09/2012 of CEN 1/2012. Out of 150 I answered 122 and around 30 answers may be wrong. so by applying negative marking i approximately secure around 80 out of 150. So is this mark good enough to qualify the written exam ?

Absolutely impossible to say as it depends on the relative performance of candidates. As there are only 3 posts chances should be low. But again if all other candidate perform below you you will get.
