Job Profile of a skilled artisan gr-III (Mech) in electric department TRS/SDAH

I have been selected for the post of a skilled artisan gr-III (mech) in electric department TRS/SDAH.
1.It will be very helpful if you could tell me the job profile with as much details as possible. I know that I'm required to do some maintenance but am I expected to handle machinery as well?

2. Another query is that. I belong from humanities background and how would I benefit from this job? Please pardon my ignorance but does it even make sense to recruit a student from arts background to a post hat requires +2 pass in science?

Im a BE mechanical graduate got selected as alp and waiting for medical test , now I got an offer from a finance sector as junior officer in a salary of around 24k.
I was confused little to choose my line as both lookes good for me .

Regarding workload due to extra duty & rest abrogate

Sir,
I want to know,
I have twelve CRs . Other seven SMs have also ten to fifteen CRs.
But SMR does not sanction CR leave for four months.
He orders us to perform extra duty & also abrogate our
proper rest time to time.
He always orders us for duty in behalf of administration.
He does say if administration send LR, then I sanction any leaves otherwise you have to perform duty.
Can SMR perform duty to reduce CRs & in which condition.
What is the role of SMR in this condition.
Please reply as soon as possible.
