what is the basis of seniority of a new employee appointed through RRB in skilled technian ? will it be on the basis of rrb merit list or on the basis of date of joining?

Direct recruits on joining a working post get seniority as per merit in recruitment panel.
When they undergo training in Training institute before joining working post, merit in training school determine the seniority.

Promotion can be regular promotion in your cadre which take many years depending on Division/Railway/Department. Also GDCE is conducted where all staff having required qualification for a post can apply. Since you have Diploma you can appear for GDCE for Asst Loco Pilot, Junior Engineer ...

i was selected Asst.Loco Pilot in Madurai division on 28/05/2007, Southern Railway and successfully completed my diesel training & GRS on 19/12/2007. And we are utilsed on individul duty in this division from 20/12/2007 up to 08/01/2008. And furtherly transfer (Administrational ground- Court case) to Chennai division, southern railway up to 06/02/2012. Now i have been transfered to Madurai division through Interdivisional One way request transfer from 07/02/2012. But in that period from 20/02/2007 to 08/01/2008 mileage was not claimed, how to claim this period's mileage & my seniority in Madurai division, southern railway.

You can claim mileage by normal procedure accompanied by a letter explaining the circumstances. But as the claim is more than three years old GM permission is needed. As for seniority as your transfer is request you agree to come as lowermost.

Dear Sir,
I want to know that I have taken Voluntrary retirement in August 2007 and I was appointed in the October 16,1985. After adding the 5yrs of weightage shall I eligible for 2 Set of Post complimentary passes. I heard there is a new rules has come an employee has to complete the 25yrs of Service to get the two sets of pass. Kindly help in this regards, I am eligible for 1 set or 2 sets. Pl inform me.

With the B. Tech it is better not to join as Group D. You will regret. Promotions can take so many years. Until then you will struggle as Helper or Cleaner.

My one way transfer registered to Madurai division from chennai division on the year of Aug'2009. But some three direct recruitment (for GDCE candidates) candidates was appointed in Madurai Division on Jan'2011. Since I want Claim the prior Seniority for that person (three GDCE candidates). please guide to me that issue to get the faviourable order get to me.

Since you came in One way Transfer to Madurai you will be juniormost on joining in Madurai Division.

No such priority is given. CPO allot division just like for Direct recruits depending on vacancies.

SSE (Track Machine) is a better job or DMS in Indian Railway...
Since I have both qualifications Diploma + Degree...I just want to get gazzetted post through UPSC which way will be faster as my friends have already become IES officers & I am lagging....

In both the above posts it will take 15-20 years to become Gazetted post(Group B). And by the time you finally manage to jump into a Group A post your freinds in IES will be ruling your Zonal Railway as the General Manager of a or they will be your Chief Engineer.

I want to clear UPSC / departmental exams only, not by time bound promotions. which one will fetch easy gazetted posts.

In your place I would have seen the convenience of getting a posting nearby. Gettting transfer is the single most problem Railway employees are facing. Only a lucky few get posting in a Division/Zone near his job and most of them lose years of seniority and consequent reduction in salary to get transfer back to their native after spending years in remote corners of the country.
Take my word for it - After a few years you will for get about your present craze for Gazetted post and think of going back to your home place AT ANY COST.

Sir my date of appointment is 22.7.1992 as a gang man in scale 775-1025 and upgraded in scale 800-1150 on 01.4.1997 another appointed on 5.9.1992 in same grade and upgraded on 16.3.1997 in scale 800-1150. Both seniority unit is difference place.who will be senior when prepared a seniority list as per inter-Se seniority by divisional office for promotion under seniority cum suitability test to higher post?

If you have pass in A2 category you can be given any job with category A2, A3, B1, B2, C1,C2.
But if you fail in A2 and passed in A3 then A2 job will not be given. Job can be given in A3, B1, B2, C1,C2.

Group D jobs in Traffic like Porter , pointsman comes in A2.
In Engg department Trollyman, Gatekeeper comes in A3 whereas Gangman comes in A3.
Signal khalasi normally come in B1.

Gateman duty is to close and open gate for trains. Gangman walk along the track attending track failiures and miantenance.
Trollyman works trollies used to transport Railway officials.

Sir, I have a little confusion about seniority.I have been selected as depot material superintendent against the notification CEN 05/2010.The final result of depot material superintendent of notification CEN 01/2012 was also declared after an interval of 20 days.If joining date for the dms of both notifications is same,then how the seniority will be decided?The dms of earlier notification i.e. CEN 05/2010 will posess seniority higher than the dms of later notification i.e.CEN 01/2012 or not?
