Hi,
I, Harsh am a student looking for a railway job on CG on behalf of my father who passed away serving railway in year 1994.
I am Higher secondary pass student with 78% in commerce.When the incident happened and as i was a minor i could not join railway, but now i am likely to join it. My DOB is 08/01/1989 with 12th pass.Kindly let me know the procedure for the recruitment and based on my DOB and qualification, which designation would i get. I wrote yesterday also but could not get any reply, so kindly reply as i am in great need for that.My father worked in Barkakana and his headoffice was in Dhanbad.And kindly let me know the age and qualification for joining on CG as a TTE. My DOB is 08/01/1989 and 12th pass with 78%, based on these facts which designations i am likely to get in railway on CG.

You have to approach the DRM office in Dhanbad in person. Give a request. The posts offered depends on the vacancy existing.You get get get TC post if available.

Yes, Dhanbad comes under East Central Railway with Hajipur headquarters. The appointment can be done in Divisional level. So you have to go to Dhanbad. Upper age can be relaxed in case of CG Appointment. Normally with your qualification you will can get Technician post. Now there are less posts in TC and it is not normally offered via CGA.

What is the salary for Technician? and am i eligible for TTE post?What is the salary for TTE and what is the criteria for TTE selection?

And what are the technical posts? as in what is the work exactly?

Technical posts are in Engg departments like Civil Engg, Electrical, Mechanical. You will be technicians. The salary and GP will be same as TC. There is no recruitment in TTE direct. Recuitment is as TC.

But technically i am not an engineer and based on my higher secondary education how can i get technical department? And what is the total salary for TC?

Of course you will not be given Engineer post. Mostly it will be Technician 3 post or Khalasi after giving training.

sir,
I am a Ticket Examiner(grade pay-1900 )in NCR from last 2 years.I want to leave my deptt.and work as ECRC or Commercial Inspector or other non technical higher grades.For which posts I am eligible.and how to prepare for the same.
Can you/anybody send me old/model exam paper for departmental exam for ECRC.

I have pased 10th and failed 12+ and did gradution in open university that also not completed, but got 5 years experience in teaching for private schools and 6 years experience in Medical transcription. (With good written and spoken skills in Eng language and typing speed of 45 words per minute). i got letter to join in railways on CG grounds from DRM. What position can i expect with my qualification, is my skills other than accedemic will be useful or waste. as i have not completed 12+ or graduation, i think i will be considered as SSC pass.
Please tell me i cannot work like as a trackman peon or other jobs which need physical labor.
I do not have typing certificates, but i type with good speech, can i get any job based on that.

With your qualification you can expect only Group D posts. Unfortunately your experiences in other fields wont count in Railways.

R/Sir I am an Ex-serviceman , served in Indian Air Force for 20 Years. After retirement Joined Railway in 2006 as JE C&W in pay scale 5000-8000. I was in pay scale of 5000-8000 and basic pay was 5700/-. Am I entitled for last payment drawn in previous service ? Storekeeper and clerks use to get in railway. Banks also give last payment drawn.

No. It is not given since you military is giving you pension for the previous service.

80 YEARS OF AGE. I UNDERSTAND THAT ON ATTAINING 80 YEARS THERE IS AN INCREASE
OF 20% IN MY PENSION AMOUNT. I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER MY AGE WAS MENTIONED IN THE RECORDS OF
SOUTHERN RAILWAYS. I HAVE ONLY AADHAAR CARD WHEREIN YEAR OF BIRTH IS MENTIONED AS 1933.
IS IT ENOUGH FOR MY AGE PROOF OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS TO BE FURNISHED? SO I REQUEST

Voter's ID card is accepted. Aadhar should be accepted. But as it is new, it is not yet came out in a circular.

IR Establishment Manual Rule No. 115 (viii) "The upper age limit may be relaxed to the extent warranted and justified while making appointment on compassionate grounds of sons," daughters, wives, wards etc. of Railway servants who die while in service or are medically incapacitated."
There is no maximum limit given.

i am balaji and father was a Tech Gr I who passed away on 19/april/2014 and i have applied for job on compassionate ground but my mother is working as a state government teacher, will this affect my appointment on CG?

No. From MC 16: Normally only the father is taken to be the bread-winner of the family. In the event of both wife and husband are Railway Employees, on account of death of the husband employment is permissible to a ward but not on account of death of the wife.

Thanks a lot! But as i came to know from various sources that Dhanbad comes under Hajipur division and Hajipur is now the headquarter, Is it so and if yes do i need to go to Dhanbad or Hajipur.
