General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) is conducted to fill up 25% of net direct recruitment vacancies for which indents are otherwise required to be placed before RRB. Regular railway employees irrespective of department possessing qualification for direct recruitment in RRB shall be eligible to appear GDCE. Only employees lower than in grade for which LDCE is held can apply. Maximum age limit of 40 for general candidates and 45 for SC/ST.

sir,
i am going to sit for je exam after few months
but i heard (unofficially) some officers take unjustified money to offer the post
how can i be suitable for the post according to merit without paying money.
pls suggest

I am holding the post of Jr.clerk at ECoR Bhubneswar. I have been called for document verification for the post of Goods Guard (GDCE). What are the documents that I need to produce?
I wonder why I have to undergo fresh document verfication as if I am a fresh candidate along with medical tests and that too when both the post are under the jurisdiction of ECoR Bhubneswar.
They haven't asked for Last Pay Certificate, No objection Certificate Or any other documents related to the post I am holding. I don't know what's the correct procedure to join the new post. I do have no objection certificate. Don't I have to apply for technical resignation?

R/Sir,
I am selected for the post of ASM under GDCE from RRB/AII from the post of Group-D. Please tell me when I shall got the grade and salary of selected post (ASM, 4500-7000), on the date of independent charge taken over on the post or from the date of training started of ASM at ZTC/Chandausi. Please also indicate what will be the date of increment in above case.
Date of Training started- 02.09.2002
Date of independent charge - 17.05.2003
Date of increment given - May, 2004
Sir, I am undergoing continuous monitory and seniority loss from year 2002. Please help me with related RBE letters.

Dear sir, i m tech. in northern railway and also completed the diploma in mech engg. And on behalf of this i have to participate the exam of rrb for je recently. I had applied for both open rrb and gdce . Please where i should go for attend the exam whether open rrb or gdce.

dear sir,
i have been selected as a commercial apprentice in rrb muzaffarpur. presently i am working as a tax assistant (pb- 5200 - 20200 gp- 2400) in central excise. i got my 'noc' which i submitted in verification. I want to know what will be my pay during training as commercial apprentice. will it less than my present pay? or i will get equal or more than that of my present pay.

I am a trackMan chennai Divi. southern Railway I am given GDCE Tech.3rd Mech.Cat.No.5, Exam date is 26.02.2012 E.N.NO.10,2012 that exam has been come last week Also gdce signal esm 2nd & 3rd and telecom mant. 3rd results came the website but this cat.results not found at rrb website i am contect there but there Told me you contect your head Quarter so i gone there there i not found Results so please tell me this Exam postpond or Results postpond why

Results must have been delayed due to some reasons. Only RRB can say.

Sir yesterday i gone S.R.Head qurter CPO office RT Cell Mech. I am a booking clerk serving at Burdwan station of Howrah division in the pay band of 5200-20200 GP 2000. My date of appointment was 14.10.2008 and date of assuming independent charge was 4.09.2009. But sir i want to go to accounts section ... could u plz guide me ,that how it would be possible for me to change the dept or i should apply for GDCE ....Is there any way out ...

To go to accounts branch only possibility is by writing RRB. Change of cadre is not permitted.

You cant write GDCE for ALP , Technician and Graduate level exams.

Sir hmara selection asm bhopal div. Me hua hai. Mera medical exam 24-05-2012 ko hua.mai fit paya gya meri training abi tak nahi ho payee hai. Hmari training kab tak hone ki sambhawna hai? Puchtachh ke liye office se hame ek no. Diya gya 5740 jis par phone hi nahi lagta kripa kar hmare samsya ka samadhan kare.

Zonal training center mem agala batch ka training shuru hone keep samay apka training start karega. ZTC keep sath training program hoga, uske anusar hi wo bula dega.

Dear Sir,
I appeared in examination of Com Insp. few months back. Now I am declared passed in the written examination. But the problem is that :-
1. There is only 2 seat but 5 persons have been declared pass in general category. there were 2 seats in SC category buy no one was declared passed in this category.
2. I am 4th in the seniority list.
3. Two of the seniors who have declared passed have already got the promotion in there parent carder & now they are enjoying the same pay scale as of C.I from last 3 months.
4. They have not given any options at the time of accepting the promotion in there parent carder.
5. Present situation is very confusing for the dept. the personal dept is not having the guidelines which they can follow.
6. Both of the seniors are showing there willingness to join the post of CI.
My opinion is that " As the person who has accepted the promotion have automatically become ineligible for the CI as they have unconditionally accepted the promotion before the finalization of selection process."
Practically is am working on the seat of CI from last one year.
Kindly Guide me in this matter ... with relevant notifications.

If they are willing for the post deparment has to give them the post as the delay of results are not their fault.

result is not delayed on there past but by accepting the post he should become ineligible. as he has got all the monetary benefits which are equivalent to CI (as they have become CBC)
what is the promotion option for gr d employee which have qualification greduate
