I have a job offer from indian railway which is due to demise of my father who worked in railways as passenger guard. I am Btech in computer science and work in a reputed private firm. I am being offered the post of DSK having grade pay of 9400-4600 scale as told by welfare inspecter. I am not able to decide which carreer path will be good for me. I just want to know what all growth prospects are there if i go with DSK post in railways. Moreover is there any option through which I can get this job offer on hold for some time so as to be in a better position to decide what is good for me. kindly let me know that can i have some option in the engineering department also if so then what it can be so that i can take up the same with welfare inspector.
