Hi All,
I am an SSE electrical general services. I am a single female. I was recruited through RRB and after 1 yr of training I was posted to the most important depot of my division. Now after 1 yr I am completely burned out physically, mentally and emotionally.
Reason.
1. Work load:-power side 21 stations, passenger rake trip maintenance, intermediate overhauling and BD & SPART
2.I have only one JE, who apparently having 29 yrs of service prefers to sit at his quarters nearby when asked to do something.
3.Same goes for my sr.techs& Techs whose knowledge is very poor and finds every reason how a work cannot be done. Other staff who leave by 3:00 in the evening though they know the timings. ( This has been the practice of this depot since its inception)
4.Shortage of staff and resources( I've been begging for a computer & printer for the past 8 months)
I am managing all the above somehow. But my DEE is showing no consideration of the fact that I am an Unmarried single female and has given orders to go to stations at 2:00'o clock in the night and to go with BD/SPART where there are no other females. My parents are 70+ and though my HQ is the most important in railway perspective it is a remote location where auto wallas become morale police and ask you what u r doing at the middle of the night( this questions are asked at 7:30pm).So my parents are scared and won't let me go alone although they are not well. My father comes with me to all stations in the middle of night and this has taken a toll. I am also completely drained out although I try my level best to do , there is only scolding from above everyday.
My educational qualifications are B.Tech(EEE) & Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology. I am willing to work my bones out, but I don't want to go anywhere in the middle of night. (With training I have 2 yrs experience). Is there any change of position that I can ask for. Kindly help
