i was selected in se (works) written exam held on 19/12/10, conducted by rrb ahmedabad then we were called for documents verification on 08/08/2011 and after that final result were declaired on 12/09/11 but after that no information about our joining and medical is given to us i just want to ask when we will get joining and generally how much time it will take.

It can take some months depending on your division/zone. Each division/zone works in their own rythm.

Normally it should not take more than a year. The training also depends on zone.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I wrote my prelims for Goods Guard in 2010 and Finals in 2011. Results declared in 2012 and called for Documents verification in Mar 12. After that no communication from RRB. I understand that I still have to wait. But now I would like to know....What is further process by RRB ?

RRB will now recommend you for the post to the Chief Personnel Officer of the Zone. CPO allots a Division and informs the Division. Division send the verification letters and then fixes medical. All of these steps are taking many months and varies as per Division/Zone.

Is RRB Ahmedabad completed the recruitment for SE(Works).There is no fresh vacancy in the latest recruitment drive 1/2012.Still there is hope for waitlisted candidates of CEN 5/2010?Please advice.

Once the vacancies are filled the currency of waitlist ends. Hence you may not be called.

Ur answer is not clear.My question is there is no fresh vacancy for SE works in CEN01/2012,Is that because they may have kept the waitlisted on hold or what is the process of knowing that vacancy has been filled?

If 5 vacancies are reported by a Zonal Railways and if 5 candidates are recruited for the posts waitlist panel holds no more and RRB finish its procedure. Untli further vacancies are reported RRB wont call for candidates.

sir i got selected as section engineer through rrb chennai exam and certificate verification as merit candidate. but still now they didnt call me for medical examination . now its almost nine months over,if we called cpo office,they simply asked to wait. my question is whether they appoint me or simply leave?

The process of railway recruitment is taking much time due to elaborate procedures. You just have to wait as they say. How long? Nobody knows.

I am Bashistha Kumar Sharma,working as Senior Section Engineer in North Eastern Rly mechanical work shop Gorakhpur.Before January 2008.I was J.E.-1 in old scale (5th pay commission) Rs 5500-Rs 9000 and my basic pay was Rs 6900.Mean while I promoted as Section Engineer (5th pay commission) Rs 6500- Rs 10500 in January 2008.I have taken charge of Section Engineer after noon of 30.1.2008 and my pay was fixed at Rs 7100.My increment date was july.So, I gave option for increment date from previous increment date i.e July month.
Please calculate what should be my fixation in July 2008(both pay commission i.e., 5th and 6th).

On 1.1.06 Pay = 1.86 x Pay on 1.1.06
After that Every Jul1 you get one increment and in July 2008 you get extra increment for promotion in addition to normal increment.

It means what it says: If you are interested in having the job you applied you have to report to the office which sent the letter.
