I am working in Southern Railway. After working for 11 years I took 2 years leave for studying M.Sc. Nursing course form Aug-2008 to Aug-2010. At that time study leave was sanctioned for me as leave without payment. Recently, I came to know that those who had five years experience in Railway can avail study leave with pay. I would like know whether it is correct or not ?. Can I claim payment for those leave days ?.

There is a provision for study leave upto 2 years for a study which help your duties as a railwaymen. It can be granted to you. I am not aware of any rule through which it can be sanctioned after the actual study.
