This is the extract from IR Medical Manual.

" Time taken by the examining medical authority to come to a decision in the matter may be treated as duty. In case where the examining authority is not quite sure of the decision to be taken, he makes a reference to the Chief Medical Director and the first decision in this case is given after reference to the C.M.D. In such cases, the period up to the announcement of the decision may be treated as duty.  "

So you can claim it as duty.

sir

i have passed group d exam. and my medical exam will be conduct on january 2013. but i am colour blinded. so what shoud i do for get group d job.

I JOINED S.E.RLY. ON 21.8.1989 AS ASST. ELECTRIC DRIVER IN PB-1 GP. RS. 1900/- THROUGH RRB/BBS.  MAINTAINING SERVICE CONTINUITY, AGAIN I JOINED SAME RLY. AS APPRENTICE JUNIOR ENGINEER IN PB-2 GP RS.4200/- THROUGH RRB/BBS (AS DIRECT RECRUIT).  I WAS PROMOTED TO SR.S.E . GP RS.4600/- ON 10.5.2005.  I HAVE COMPLETED 20 YRS. IN PB-2 ON 23.4.2011. AM I ELIGIBLE FOR MACP ?  MY SR.D.P.O SAYS THAT AS MY GRADE PAY  ALREDY CHANGED TWO TIMES i.e.PB-1 TO PB-2 AND GP RS. 4200/- TO 4600/- , I WILL NOT GET MACP.  BUT THE CHANGE OF GRADE PAY FROM PB-1 TO PB-2, IS NOT A PROMTION, THERE IS NO CONTRIBUTION OF RLY., IT IS COMPLETELY ON MY OWN MERIT, CONTESTING FROM OPEN MARKET  AS DIRECT RECRUIT, THROUGH RRB/ BBS  AFTER TAKING  'NO OBJECTION' FROM RLY.  SO DEAR SIR, AM I ELIGIBLE FOR MACP ? IF YES, KINDLY REFER THE RLY. BOARD CIRCULAR.
