request for category change

Dear sir,
I joined as temporary trackman on 05-08-2011 in cannanore. Palghat division. I have completed diploma in Information Technology and I have worked as project leader in a software company for the last 5 years. Kindly tell me which is the suitable department for me and what's the procedure to change. Also please tell me what's the procedure to attend department test and how to know the test dates in time.

You can appear for department exam(GDCE). Notice and application will normally come to your office. Not many chances for IT diploma holder in railways.

For SE(S & T) eligibility is Engg degree in Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunication Engineering. No chance for B.E (I.T) .

dear sir,
i joined on compassionate ground as tech -iii ,signal on 2006, in the time of training period a train incident occurred in which i was removed from service being an apprentice,having without any fault.i took the help of CAT ,CTC.AND GOT THE order of immediate reinstatement. sir , after happening this incident it is not good for me to survive in this department having heavy mental presser ,[please advise me to change of category to other department lucidly]

Change of category is not permitted for this reason. You can try to change category by writing departmental examination(GDCE) when it is called.

Sir i am working in signal department as a esm please tell me that is a esm can apply for departmental test for other department and able to leave signal department someone tell me that a esm not changed its department through departmental test please sir tell me its impotant for me pls reply answer on my id

Change of category as such without any reasons is not permitted. If you have qualification for q higher post you can appear GDCE in which change is possible.

Write departmental exams. Request for change by other modes will not be permitted normally.

If Trackmen in Indian Railways are given a chance to change there department, then I think that there will not be any Trackmen available on field.
I think that if all people of Civil Engg. department are given a chance to change their department, it will be SSE Incharge and above designations will be left for work.
All the categories below SSE Incharge will just disappear.

Dear Sir,
I was appointed as TCM-3 in railways(technical) and then on the request due to medical grounds my category was changed from tcm-3 to clerk(non-technical)...My appointing authority initially was senior scale officer but when my category was changed who will be my appointing authority GM or the same officer as GM changed my category...plz help me giving the reply on my email address...

i worked in rcf kapurthala from 28.04.1987 to 08.01.1992 and was removed from services on 08.01.1992.in cgit my case was decided in my favour for reinstatement alongwith full back wages and cnsequential banefitsin 2004.rcf apealed in high court of delhi.there wages were allowed under 17b.with case still to come up for hearing. rcf paid me basic pay+d.a. from 6/2004 to 11/2008 but after 11/2008 after revising the pay as per 6th p.c. rcf is paying me only @ basic pay-p.f & gis.they r saying that d.a. is not permissible to me. there is not any clarification in court order of 17b. plz. guide me what should i do ?

What to pay in this case depends only on court order. As the process is still going on better to wait for court decision.

You may have to appear fresh RRB to become SE.
