Fixation of Pay for fresh recruits

Entry pay in the revised pay structure for fresh recruits will be fixed as follows depending on the grade pay of the post.

Annual increments

Annual increments shall be given on the 1st of July every year. Employees completing 6 months and above in the scale as July 1 will be eligible for increment.

The amount of increment will be 3% of of total pay in the pay band plus Grade Pay. This amount will be added to the current pay to get the new Pay of the employee.

Variable increment

Given for higher achievers in Gr. A Pay Band PB 3.

It will @ 4 % (instead of 3% for others). Not more than 20 % of the employees in the grade will be given this 4%increment and others will be given 3% increment.

@ above : after July as per my calculations DA will increase by 6% more (on rough cut basis considering AICPI).

one of my friend told that as you will get 28000 take away salary including all the allowances after training is it true?. as i have applied for the bangalore station, so what are the allowances will be given if i work in bangalore station and what is the HRA ,TA and DA for the ASM and what are the deductiuons will be in gross salary and is there any allowances for night shift work and is there pension scheme now? Thanks.

Net Pay of ASM after one year is given as around 20 thousand. If you are posted at Bangalore(in city limits) you will have 30% HRA and higher TPA. So you can count roughly 3000 more , making it to a figure Rs.23000(take away as you call it). I think 28000 is not realistic.

Expect a Gross salary of 18000 and deduction around 2000 and Take away salary of Rs. 16000 during training. Calculate a 2000 more after your training and next years increment. Facilities include one Railway pass for self and family in 3AC class valid for 4 months in a year and Quarters where available.

Night shifts is compulsory for ASM. It can be 2 or 3 nights a week.

Sir,I 'm Deepa appointed as a Jr.Clerk on 27.09.2007 & promotted as a Sr.clerk 5200-20200+2800 on 28.2.2011 & my basic fixed Rs.9890/-. I got 3% increment +Grade pay difference.But in G.P -2800/- minimum basic is Rs.11360/- . If I working another two years my basic pay will not reach Rs. 11360/- but after two years latter if someone posted in Grade pay Rs.2800/ he/she will get Rs.11360/- . For this reason in promotion case minimum basic pay fixed as per 6 th CPC pay fixation table Sir please think about my opinion .

I have retired from Railway Service on 30-06-2007 before the 6th pay commission is brought in to effect. While fixing and reviewing pay/pension, an increment was drawn on 1st july 2006 and it continued till retirement date. Having worked for full 365 days, I didnot get the next increment for the simple reason that I was not in service on 1st July 2007. Has anyone studied such cases and gained knowledge about mending rule favourable to the employee?
