Limited Departmental Competitive Examination(LDCE)
- To fill up 30% of vacancies in Group ‘B’ vacancies in Civil Engineering, Mecahanical Engineering, Elecrical Engineering, Signal & Telecommunications, Transportation and Commercial Department, Stores and Accounts.
- Reservation of SC/ST as per extant orders.
- The panel will be valid for the same length of time as the panel of selection.
- Employees empanelled through 70% selection will rank above those through LDCE.
Eligibility
- Group C employees in Pay Band PB2(9300-34800) with GP 4200 and above with 5 years in the grade including services in the corresponding pre-revised grades).
- Appointment will be given only after character verification.
Scheme of examination
- A written exam of a substantially higher standard than associated with normal selection and a viva-voce.
- Minimum pass marks are 60%. Names will be in order of merit on the basis of total marks.
- In selection/LDCE the total marks secured by all the candidates who had appeared for viva-voce after qualifying in the written examination and the marks secured in written test in the case of remaining candidates may be notified after finalisation of Group B Panel.

sir i was working as Helper at nagercoil junction under Tvc division of southern railway ,at that time my PRAN card also made,my home is orissa, In month of october 2012 i got select as a Helper through RRC Bhubaneswar and posted in viskhapatnam which is near to my home.So i leave from nagercoil without resignation and joined visakhapatnam silently...................is any problem to me .but i want to resign to nagercoil junction................plz reply..........................

Settlement in VRS cases are delayed compared to normal retirement. The time taken can vary depending on Divisions. Better to approach DPOs office/ Welfare Inspector.

Change of cadre is not permitted without a valid reason like Medical decategorisation. Otherwise if you have technical qualification for higher posts like JE, you can write GDC Exam.

sir most humbly and respectfully I applied for three times LDCE APO Exams in NWR but did not succeed thrice even after i never failed in any exam and did MBA (HRD) from IGNOU and i am quite guilty of the same. My medium of exam is english but i have equally good in hindi also.Please guide me how i could got more that 60% marks for getting through this exam.
