Most of the JE Signals are posted in charge of a section of a Railway. In this case he will not have fixed working hours. As far as the work goes on smoothly he doenst have work in fixed hours.

In case of JEs in workshops and those in charge of shift duties in some major junctions they can be on shift duty , normally 48 hours of duty.

In workshops Sunday is holiday and Saturday half day. Other jobs there is no Sat/Sun holiday.
