JE(Signal & Tele)
- JE S&T is a supervisor in signal and telecommunication department of Railways. JE can be posted either station or Production Units. If posted in a station he will be in charge of the signalling installations of the station or stations. He will have technicians under him to actually do the job. Normally he will have a few small stations of a section under him, which means he has to travel to these stations.

- Qualification :Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/TelecommunicationEngineering or equivalent recognized by AICTE.

1 Are all allowances calculated as a percentage of total pay ( Basic + Grade ) ?
pls let me know the procedure to calculate DA, TA, HRA, CCA.
Most of the allowances are calculated on the basis of Total Pay. Either as Percentage or slab basis.
DA @ 58% (at present) and HRA @ 10/20/30% depending on total pay.
CCA is abolished by 6th Pay commission.
TA is based on Grade Pay only

2.JE (tele) getting salary of 20000 /month
I have B.Tech degree also .
how many years do we need to work as JE(tele) in railways to get transfer from somewhere to native place .
That depends on so many conditions. But if vacancy exists and you are in top of your seniority it can happen in few weeks.

what will be working hours per day , and what about off on saturdays and sundays , what are various allownces given to them , please elaborate
