Gross and Net Salary of Some Popular categories of Railway Jobs
Approximate Gross and Net Salary of Some Popular categories of Railway Jobs after the implementation of 6 th Central Pay commission for direct recruits appointed on or after 1.1.2006.
Please keep in mind that the exact salary can be different from this as it depends on many conditions. Some of the factors that you have to keep in mind while reading the table ::
- The current Rate of DA is 80% from Jan 2013 and it changes every six months.
- Salary after 1 year – this will be the salary on 1st July after completion of training period (with one annual increment). As a rule of thumb it is assumed that the DA will go up by 12% in one year for the calculation.
- During training no allowances except DA is paid.

HRA is calculated for ordinary cities(10%). It can be 20% or 30% depending on the city. It is same for Transport Allowance.

There are other allowances like TA which depends on your post.

officer can stop if u giving the technical resignation, but your technical resignation is not suitable for the lower grade so component authority not accept the technical resignation, if u want to be go through proper channel than u giving the simple resign and authority is must accepted your resignation b'coz your service is not continue in other deptt.
When you are going in a
When you are going in a higher pay there is no problem in in relieving. But to join in a lower post, they can ask you to refund the stipend received during training period plus applicable cost of training.
Your department can detain you for some time quoting shortage of staff.

Commercial Apprentice and
Commercial Apprentice and Traffic Apprentices have more chances of promotion(and more salary) than ECRC. Jobwise Commercial apprentice have an edge over Traffic Apprentices.

Sir what will b my salary when i join as a Commertial Apprentice during training. I am an Ex-Servicemen with 15 yrs service and currently drawing 28000 per month. I am entitled for pay protection. nope i shud ty for the clarification, as i had gone through the circular of revised training modules and was really confused wid few of posts by my colleuges about the stipend as wid GP 2800. And ur correction in this form really clarified and confirmed the things for me. thanx alot.
one more thing i wud like 2 ask is after DA crosses 50% few of the allowances have been doubled, i heard about this rule. but thing was that i am missing clarity in tht aspect as u r showing the DA % as 58% so no additional allowances or increment in the current allowances were been given to us JE's.????

When DA crossed 50%
When DA crossed 50% allowances have not doubled, but increased by 25% as recommended by sixth Pay commission. See list of allowances hiked here. Additional allowances depends on actual conditions of your work like place of posting. For example some JEs get TA, some not.

See, the training period for
See, the training period for JE is 18 months. During training ( for those whose training period is more than 12 months) you get grade pay (2800) just below your actual GP (ie 4200). After training you get your actual GP (4200).
