Fixation of Pay examples as per 6th CPC
Here are some guidelines for fixation of pay as per 6th CPC
Ex 1 : Fixation of initial pay in the revised pay structure
1. Existing Scale of Pay Rs.4000-100-6000
2. Pay Band applicable PB-1 Rs.5200-20200
3. Existing basic pay as on 1.1.2006 Rs.4800
4. Pay after multiplication by a factor of 1.86 Rs. 8928 (Rounded off to Rs.8930)
5. Pay in the Pay Band PB-2 Rs.8930
6. Stage in the Pay Band after including benefit of bunching, if admissible
Rs.8930
7. Grade Pay attached to the scale
Rs.2400
8. Revised basic pay – total of pay in the pay band and grade pay Rs.11330
Ex 2 : Fixation of initial pay in the revised pay structure of medical officers
1. Existing Scale of Pay
Rs.10000-15200
2. Pay Band applicable
PB-3 Rs.15600-39100
3. Existing basic pay as on 1.1.2006
Rs.10000
4. Pay after multiplication by a factor of 1.86
Rs.18600
5. Existing Non Practising Allowance (NPA)
Rs.2500+Rs.1250
6. DA on NPA

Stage 2 : Fixation of Group D employee possessing requisite qualification or after retraining

4. Pay after multiplication by a factor of 1.86 Rs.5282 (Rounded off to Rs.5290)

3. Upgraded to the Scale of Pay Rs.7500-250-12000
(Corresponding Grade Pay Rs.4800)
4. Existing basic pay as on 1.1.2006 Rs.7300
5. Pay after multiplication by a factor of 1.86 Rs. 13578 (Rounded off to Rs.13580)
6. Pay in the Pay Band PB-2 Rs.13580
7. Stage in the Pay Band after including benefit of bunching, if admissible

Ex 5 : Pay fixation on grant of increment in the revised pay structure

4. Rate of increment 3% of row 3
5. Amount of increment Rs.405 rounded off to Rs.410
6. Pay in the pay band after increment Rs.9300 + 410

I am going to join through RRB as a Tr.JE(Mechanical) in E.Rly Howrah Division's Power wingon.Training will comance from 20.01.12.
In the offer latter we see Training Period is 18 months as well as Stipend is Rs.8560+GP Rs.2800.
But I come to know through this website that according to rail bord's revised order dated 20.10.11 our Training Period should be 52 weeks as well as Stipend should be Rs.9300+GP 4200.
Now, I am totaly confused tell me what should I do ?

As per Railway Board
As per Railway Board directives all Railways are switching over to 52 week training module. Easter Railway may not have implemented it. But it is possible that it will be cut short during your training period.

I am undergoing training as J.E C&W in kota division. Earlier we recieved appointment letter stating that stipend would be 8560+2800 but a recent order has been released from railway board RBE 151/2011 dated 20-10-2011 stating that all meh and elect deptt trainees who undergoes traing as 52 weeks will get stipend as 9300+4200 but it also indiacates that it is for Junior engr-2 (W.S).
Is it applicable for J.E C&W also?

All the JE posts are shifting
All the JE posts are shifting new training module of 52 weeks. So you should be getting 9300+4200 if the Railway concerned already switched over to the new mopdule.

You have to understand that
You have to understand that JE is a job for Diploma holdres and as a B.Tech + MBA holder you are eligible for better job. You can write the exam for becoming a Gazetted post after 3 years service as JE. The availbale vacancies will be divided as 30% for pure merit based exam called LDCE and 70% on seniority based selection process.

First of all I think that the
First of all I think that the whole process of allotment of division, medical, and starting of training will go beyond May 2012. Even if finally they start training before May 2012 you can produce a medical certificate or ask for leave. The only repurcussion will be that you will be callled only for next training which can take some months.
I think it is important that you finish your Master so that you will have bright future elsewhere than Railways.

Your next promotion will be AEN(Gaz), DEN, Sr. DEN. Chances are very less that you go beyond that.

SE Electrical is normally a supervisory job. If you are posted in a station you will be in charge of maintaining electrical installations.You will have starting total pay of 17140 plus other allowances including 58% DA and HRA @ 10/20/30% depending on the city.
