Indian Railways establishment rules are detailed in Indian Railways Establishment codes, Manuals and any changes will be notified through Gazette as well as Circulars from Railway Board. Some of the extracts of the establishment rules are reproduced on this site.

Sir i am senior alp in GZB .i am selected as JE from rrb jammu.I did not get NOC at the time of filling rrb form so i had not fill the column of "previous service detail" in rrb form .AT the time of verification i had not given any detail of service.now my name is in the final result.I had informed to Personal dept.while filling the rrb form.Personal dept.have given me the option of technical resign .SIR i want to know that if i will go to other devision DRM office as ambala for joining will they not objection that in rrb form i have not mentioned about service and now have come with technical resignation or NOC.PLS guide me because i dont want to loose this chance .thanking you &waiting for valueable guidenes

Now I have to produce all the necesary documents for varification at the given date according to varification call latter i receaved. But one the document. ( P.E.T) admitcard candidate's part i had lost somewhere...

I am working with gujrat state electricity corporation as grad II officer. my salary is 13000 and 14000 for the period for 2 years. then after it will become about 32000. This company is govt one and I am gettig good exposer of power sector. I am also selected in railways as section engineer (Mechanical). After reading 5 myth abt railway in one of the articles here, I am totally confused what should I do??? becose I dont know what would be my job profile in Indian railways. what are future opportunities in pvt sector on basis of railway experience? etc. also I am having feeling that my career will become stagnant as promotions are very much late in railways.
I am totally confuse what to do? should I join Indian railways or sld I continue my current govt job in power sector??

My dear freind you have to consider all plus and minus yourself and decide yourself. You will not touch that salary in 2 years as SE in Railways(Yes if you get a huge TA- but that depends on many conditions). For SEs it is zonal seniority - you can be posted anywhere in a zone.

Also as per my knowledge as section engineer I will be getting 12540+4600GP means about 17150 basic so salary will remain same. please correct me if I am wrong. Sakleshpur-Subrahmanya Road is a line in ghat section where inflated distance is in force for travelling public.Running staff are eligible for mileage at a rate of three times than the normal rate . For travelling between two stations where actual distance is less than 8 KM and inflated distance is 15 KM ,are the employees other than running staff eligible for travelling allowance?

The rule of inflated kilometrage is not applicable for TA. You have to know that what we call TA in Railways is actually Daly Allowance given to employee when he leaves for a destination away from his headquarters more than 8km.

RBE57/2000 dt 27.3.2000 by Railway Board goes as follows:

Railway Board have issued instructions from time to time for grant of relaxation in qualifying marks in promotional category posts in favour of SCs/STs.

Ministry of Railways after careful consideration have decided that relaxations in qualifying marks stand withdrawn from the date of issue of this letter.

I have joined as JE/signal in SR in 30.04.2005 .After 5yrs. I got promotion as Sr. Section Engineer/Signal. Now I want one way transfer to my parent railway from SR. Whether I can go by as Sr. Section Engineer or my initial grade i.e JE/Signal. I got the promorion as Sr. Section Engineer on 17.09.2010. What will be the basic after gating promotion? Before promotion my basic was Rs.16540/-.

If you go in one way transfer you will have to go as JE. On promotion you will get one increment @ 3% in the old scale and new GP of 4600 with effect from date of promotion.

1. if i have to be section engineer then it would be only in dsl mech/elect or can be in any other vertical like SE-Mechanical

Only RRB can tell you when the result will be declared. The final result will come only after medical and certificate verification. Normally those are found ok after verication will be called for medical.

If training period is 52 weeks you will get grade Pay 4200 , Pay 9300 and DA 58% of total of pay & GP. No HRA during training
