Safety Related Retirement Scheme covering safety categories with Grade Pay of 1900

1. Further to Railway Board’s above referred letter and as stipulated in para 2 (vi) of Railway Board’s letter No. E(P&A)I-2001/RT-2 (KW) dated 02.01.2004, it is reiterated that the wards of the employees seeking retirement under the Scheme would be considered for appointment only in the lowest recruitment Grade Pay of 1800/- of the respective category from which the employee seeks retirement, depending upon his/her eligibility and suitability. However, the wards of Drivers would continue to be considered for appointment in the initial recruitment Grade Pay of 1900/- p.m. as ALP.
2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
