published for information, guidance and necessary action. Board’s letter No. E(MPP) 2002/1/83 dated
17.01.2003 was published as Estt. Rule No. 42/2003.

Sub:- Rightsizing Indian Railways.
Kindly refer to Railway Board’s letter No. E(MPP) 2000/1/11 dated 11.8.2000 (RBE No. 98/2000) on the above subject followed by Board’s letters No. E(MPP) 2000/1/11 dated 04.01.2001 & 31.12.2001 and letter No. E(MPP) 2002/1/83 dated 17/01/2003.
The matter has been considered and it has been decided to withdraw restrictions on annual fresh recruitment issued vide above letters, with immediate effect.
