Grant of privileges to Group D staff awarded with Grade Pay of 1800 in Pay Band 1

1. Reference South East Central Railway’s letter No. P-HQ/Rul/126/1/457 dated 9.03.2011 & No. P/SECR/Ruling/PC-VI/Clarif./9095 dated 28.06.2010 on the above subject, with special attention to point No. 4 indicated therein.
2. With reference to above mentioned letters it is stated that even though such erstwhile Group ‘D’ staff have been classified as Group ‘C’, which is due to the fact that on date no grade pay exist in Group ‘D’, there is no change in the responsibilities being shouldered by them. Therefore, classification of such staff as Group ‘C’ does not automatically change their eligibility criteria for promotion, in case they are not eligible for the same in terms of extant instructions. Further action may be taken accordingly.
