Counting of temporary service rendered as Casual Labour for joining RELHS – 97

Arising out of demands made by AIRF and NFIR the subject of reckoning of 50% of service rendered as Temporary Casual Labour for computing the qualifying period of service for eligibility under RELHS has been under the consideration of Board for some time.

After careful examination of the matter it has been decided to reckon 50% of the period from the date of ‘Temporary Status’ to the date of ‘regularisation’ in respect of Ex-casual labours for the purpose of 20 years qualifying service for joining RELHS – 97.

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
