In the case of promotion from one grade pay to another in the revised pay structure, one increment equal to 3% of the sum of the pay in the pay band and the existing grade pay will be computed and rounded off to the next multiple of 10. (Ref 2)
In the case of calculation of increments under the revised pay structure, paise should be ignored, but any amount of a rupee or more should be rounded off to next multiple of 10. (Ref 4)

After 6th pay commission merged grade in Ticket checking cadare ic 5000-8000 and 5500-9000 now re designated as TTI/STI instead of CTTI II/DY CTI. This is some mistake done in pay commssion directorate.Previously 5000-8000 grade designated as STI/TTI and after 10 years only getting 5500-9000 CTTI II/Dy CTI. Now degraded the CTTI II /DyCTI as STI /TTI .So monitary loss as well as degraded the post.
- MACPS is applicable to all regularly appointed Group ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ Railway Employees .
- The financial upgradations under the MACPS would be admissible upto the highest Grade Pay of Rs.12000/- in the PB-4.
- Casual employees, including those granted ‘temporary status’ and employees appointed in the Railways only on ad-hoc or contract basis shall not qualify for benefits under the aforesaid Scheme.
Even after so many months of implementation of 6th Pay Commission no decision has been taken for the eligibility fist class/ 3AC pass.
