In this test a set of 4 or 5 pictures will be given out of which one will be different in some way than all the others. All the other except one will have some similar features. The answer will be the one which is different.

Training of Officers of Indian Railway Medical Service (IRMS)

 

Doctors of Indian Railway Medical  Service  (IRMS)will have 3  months training as follows:

Aptitude Test (psychological Test) in direct recruitment by RRBs to safety categories

Aptitude tests shall be applicable to those candidates who qualify in the written tests conducted by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB)s against direct recruitment quota for recruitment to the following safety categories of staff with a view to improve quality of personnel and operational safety:

  • Assistant Station Master
  • Assistant Driver (Diesel/Electric)
  • Motorman (EMU/MEMU/DMU)

Conduct of Aptitude Tests

Procedure of Group D Recruitment by Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC)

  • Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC) have been set up in all Zonal Headquarters for recruitment to Group D posts consequent to the announcement made in the Railway Budget 2005-06.
  • Each RRC would be headed by Deputy Chief Personnel Officer (Recruitment ) in JA grade or Selection grade.
  • The recruitment to all Group D posts of a particular Zonal Railway is now handled by RRC concerned.

Provision of appeal in case of Medical examination of candidates selected for Railway jobs

  • The provision for reconsideration/appeal in case of candidate being declared unfit for employment is detailed in Rule No. 522 of Indian Railway Medical Manual.
  • Ordinarily, there is no right of appeal.
  • But a request for appeal can be considered if the candidate concerned produce evidence regarding the possibility of error of judgment in the decision of the examining medical authority.
  • Such evidence should be submitted within one month of the date of communication of the decision of the first medical authority to the candidate.
